Sugarqube fins are precision CNC milled from G 10 fiber glass plates. Industry standard 6mm metric threads are used to bolt the fins to your board. G10 fins are virtually indestructible and will withstand any punishment you can dish out. The CNC milling process ensures your fins are all exactly the same and lets you shape the perfect fin every time.
Fin shaping is a science in itself. Original fins were derived from surf board fins and have been developed over the years.
Fin shape and placement is crucial in determining performance characteristics of your board.
Basic concept is, the further to the ends you mount the fin, the more grip and stiffer the ride feels which will increase “pop” off the water.
The bigger the fin, the more grip and up wind ability you board will have.
Trade off of course is, having a board that feels like it rides on rails, e.g. very inflexible and not so maneuverable.
